1. How can a nutritionist help me?
A qualified nutritionist can help you optimise your day-to-day nutrition in a way that will help you achieve your wellbeing goals and support your long-term health.
At Nourishi, we always start this process with a thorough assessment of your current health situation, understanding your wellbeing goals and a detailed analysis of your present nutrition and your lifestyle.
From there, we develop a personalised nutrition and lifestyle program that’s 100% tailored to your needs, your lifestyle and your daily routine, and that we then implement together over the agreed period of time.
This allows you to gradually develop the kind of nutrition that provides your body with everything it needs for optimal functioning, that fits into your daily routine and is easy to maintain in the long term.
2. What’s the difference between a nutritionist, dietitian and a nutrition coach?
There are many qualified professionals who are considered experts in the field of nutrition, with nutritionists, dietitians and nutrition coaches being three of the most recognisable terms.
NUTRITIONISTS are generally experts who advise on matters of food and nutrition impacts on health. This can encompass a range of different nutrition professionals, depending on where you live, as different countries have different regulations in this area.
To make sure that the nutritionist you’re considering working with is sufficiently qualified, make sure to check what specific training they received and where their certification is from.
Our team at Nourishi composes of Certified Nutrition Coaches, who have all completed their certifications at the renowned Institute Of Health Sciences, which is one of Europe’s longest established health and nutrition colleges.
Our external partner functional medicine practitioners have all been accredited by the Institute Of Functional Medicine, a global leader in functional medicine.
DIETITIANS are healthcare professionals that are governed and regulated by law and are licensed to assess and diagnose nutrition problems and treat specific health conditions. Many registered dietitians work in hospitals, private practices, academia or other healthcare facilities.
NUTRITION COACHES are nutrition experts who use a combination of nutrition analysis, nutrition recommendations and lifestyle changes to help you optimise your health and wellbeing. They do not diagnose or treat specific medical conditions. At Nourishi, all of our nutrition coaches have been trained and certified by the renowned Institute Of Health Sciences, one of Europe’s longest established health and nutrition colleges.
3. Do you offer functional medicine testing and services?
Our team consists of highly qualified nutrition coaches that help you optimise your health and wellbeing through a combination of nutritional and lifestyle changes. In addition, we also partner with several functional medicine practitioners who provide our clients with advanced functional medicine testing and services, where needed.
Which specific functional medicine practitioner we bring in to work with you, depends on your specific health situation and the challenges you’re experiencing. The selected functional medicine expert will then assess your situation from a functional medicine perspective, conduct any relevant testing, and provide you with targeted recommendations on how to address your challenges based on the results of these tests.
4. Where are you based?
We are based in the canton of Zug, but work with clients across Switzerland, including Zurich, Basel, Bern, Luzern and Geneva, as well as internationally.
Where possible, we see clients in person, or we work with you online, using the online meeting tools of your choice, such as Zoom, Skype and Google Meet.
5. Can you make a meal plan for me to follow?
One of the key goals of our nutrition programs is to empower you with the knowledge of how to develop a balanced meal plan on your own. This is important because we want to make sure that you’re not dependent on any specific meal plan we give you, and that you know exactly how to design your meals in a way that will provide you with all the nutrients your body needs, and that’s easy to maintain in the long term.
That said, as a part of your personalised program we do provide you with sample meal plans that are tailored to your exact health situation and goals, and that you can start with, while we’re putting in place a meal planning process that you can then maintain on your own.
6. How much do your programs cost?
All of our personalised programs are 100% tailored to you – to your specific health goals, to what your body needs, to your food preferences and to your lifestyle and daily routine. For this reason, the cost of each individual program also depends on your specific requirements and how we agree to design your program.
All of our fees can be settled in full upfront or in installments, based on the agreed payment plan.
7. Do you offer online appointments or phone consultations?
Yes, in addition to seeing clients in person, we also offer online video appointments (e.g. via Zoom and other commonly used video communication tools), as well as phone appointments. In fact, as we work across Switzerland as well as internationally, most of our clients prefer meeting with us online, from the comfort of their own home or their office.
